Postinor®

Postinor is an urgent contraception pill (Morning after pill). First tablet of Postinor should be taken in 60 hours after unprotected sex, but actually as soon as possible.
Postinor is taken orally , two pills must be taken with 12 hours interval. (The Maximum interval may be 16 hours).
Each pill of Postinor contains 0,75mg of Levonorgestrel. Both tablets must be taken not later than 72 hours after unprotected sex (the effectiveness of emergency contraception at the delayed use of the drug is substantially reduced). If vomiting occurred within 3 hours after administration of Postinor - the tablet must be re-taken.
Postinor (Levonorgestrel) may be used at any time of the menstrual cycle.
After taking Postinor until the next menstrual period should apply local barrier methods of contraception (eg, condoms). It is not recommended to use Postinor again during the same menstrual cicle due to increased frequency of acyclic spotting / bleeding.
